About The Position

The Senior Technical Developer will work alongside other Technical Innovation counterparts and with Design, Product Management, PCC partners, Materials, Color and Product Integrity teams. We're looking for an outstanding Senior Technical Developer with expertise in softgoods and hardgoods construction (Bags, balls, gloves, protective gear). Experience with textiles, trims, hardware, foams, rubber, casings and graphic applications are desired to be part of our creative team within Nike Global Football Equipment & Accessories. The ideal candidate needs to be a highly creative problem solver, versatile and forward thinking. A key part of this role is understanding the full scope of product creation from design concepts to production, building tech packs, driving discussions to meet on-time delivery dates, leading the team with technical recommendations that elevate craft & quality that serve our athletes and consumers. Communicating issues or offering solutions in a fast-paced environment is a must have non-negotiable. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (design, industrial, mechanical) or related field
• A minimum of 3 years directly relevant work experience
• 5+ years hardgoods/softgoods product development experience with an eye towards craft and quality
• Strong experience using various 3D software (CLO, Solidworks, ProE etc.)
• Strong experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Knowledge of the product development process from inception through production
• Ability to write product specs and advanced construction instructions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects seasonally
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail and process orientation
• Proficiency with MS Office programs

Nice To Haves

• Sample making experience
• Pattern making, materials science or related field experience
• Experience with CLO/Optitex/Browzwear/VStitcher/Lotta
• Experience working with factories and vendors to ensure and improve manufacturability

Responsibilities

• Create and update tech packs using various 3D Software (CLO, Solidworks, ProE, etc.)
• Lead proto review sessions with functional partners, collecting feedback and capturing comments
• Track and request prototypes, manage and meet their calendar target dates
• Attend meetings related to product development and communicate progress and challenges to the team and leadership
