About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join our growing team in Denver, CO. This role is ideal for an experienced architectural professional who brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to deliver complex projects from design development through construction. The Senior Technical Architect will play a key role in ensuring technical excellence, mentoring team members, and collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 7+ years of professional architectural experience, with a strong focus on technical design and documentation
  • Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure) strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience producing and coordinating construction documents for complex building projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit; strong working knowledge of BIM workflows and coordination
  • Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and collaborate across disciplines
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on large‑scale or technically complex projects (e.g., commercial, mission‑critical, healthcare, higher education, or mixed‑use)
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and LEED or similar frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and documentation of complex architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration
  • Serve as the technical authority on projects, ensuring code compliance, constructability, and quality control
  • Develop and review construction documents, specifications, and details to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical challenges and design conflicts
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to intermediate and junior architectural staff
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and workload forecasting in collaboration with project managers
  • Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field reports
  • Stay current with building codes, standards, and industry best practices, particularly those applicable to Colorado and local jurisdictions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of technical standards, templates, and processes
