About The Position

As the Senior Technical Advisor you will provide professional input and oversight of investigation, remediation, monitoring and other environmental projects utilizing your knowledge in environmental engineering, toxicology, and/or the environmental sciences. You will use personal initiative and critical thinking skills to complete job duties with minimal guidance. You will ensure to set priorities, take ownership of projects, work efficiently, and provide a consistent level of high quality in a high-pressure environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules governing environmental projects and programs.
  • Detailed understanding of water and soil remediation systems, especially water treatment systems.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to use scientific rules and methods to solve problems and logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science Discipline
  • Ten or more years of proven experience in environmental services.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) required.
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in science Discipline preferred.
  • Direct experience with design, installation, and operation of remediation systems.
  • Experience with PFAS remediation systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Program Manager, develop overall directions to guide planning at the service, client, and contract level.
  • Develop and define criteria for projects’ key deliverables and continually monitor critical milestones.
  • Plan and oversee the inspection, investigation, or evaluation of contaminated sites.
  • Prepare technical evaluations of investigated sites using RCRA or CERCLA guidelines.
  • Plan and oversee feasibility and/or treatability studies to determine appropriate remediation solutions.
  • Design and supervise the installation, operations, and maintenance of remediation systems in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily management of field projects including coordinating and monitoring work by field staff and subcontractors.
  • Provide scientific and technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to project staff preparing written project documentation.
  • Review and document the processes necessary to obtain environmental permits, licenses, and other requirements necessary to achieve environmental restoration project objectives.
  • Review and provide documentation of environmental technical standards, guidelines, policies, and formal regulations to ensure proposals meet all appropriate requirements.
  • Prepare charts or graphs from data samples, providing summary information on the environmental relevance of the data.
  • Determine data collection methods to be employed in site surveys, investigations, studies, and/or in monitoring system performance.
