About The Position

As a Senior Team Lead, Material Planner at DSV, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all commitments from various demand planning groups are met within the agreed product lead times. You will be responsible for resolving delays in material provision, managing delivery order lead times, and expediting SAP delivery orders with the help of internal and external partners. Your role will also involve reviewing customer build/ship plans, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and managing dock operations while ensuring safety procedures are followed. Additionally, you will assist in the startup of new buildings, compile data for manager meetings, coordinate with warehouse personnel, manage work tickets, and assist with onboarding new material planners. You will also support payroll/HR issues and administer on-the-job training sessions for team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all commitments from the various demand planning groups are within the agreed upon product lead times.
• Resolve delays in providing the needed material within the agreed upon timeline.
• Manage the lead times of all delivery orders placed on behalf of the customer and report any issues with lead times.
• Expedite SAP delivery orders to the site with assistance from internal and external partners.
• Review the customer's build/ship plans ensuring the plan will meet the commitments based on the delivery dates.
• Identify areas of opportunity to help promote continuous improvement projects by putting together a project plan, proposal, and seeing the project through to completion.
• Manage dock operations for the site by ensuring all safety procedures are followed, training documentation is current/audited, and material is dispositioned and tracked correctly.
• Serve in a backup role for the build's supervisor, gaining an understanding of all systems, spreadsheets, and processes.
• Assist with the startup of new buildings by ensuring all safety procedures are followed and all temporary/permanent areas are set up for daily operations.
• Compile and prepare data for manager meetings and present data concisely.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel in the planning and prioritization of all inbound and outbound material.
• Manage work tickets for the movement of material at the customer's site and back to the warehouse.
• Assist with the onboarding for new material planners at the site and at other sites.
• Administer on-the-job training sessions for team members and develop new training opportunities.
