We are seeking an exceptional Senior Tax Professional with a strong accounting background and the ability to prepare, supervise, and review complex tax engagements. This role involves significant client interaction and requires advanced technical knowledge, including international tax and ASC 740 (income tax provision) experience. The ideal candidate will be skilled in preparing and reviewing a variety of returnsindividual, corporate, partnership, trust, payroll, and information returnsas well as providing strategic tax planning, conducting research, and advising clients on accounting and financial matters. You will also be responsible for preparing compilation financial statements, identifying opportunities for tax savings, and ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and international regulations.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required; Masters in Taxation preferred.
CPA, JD, or similar professional designation strongly preferred (EA or CTEC also considered).
Current PTIN required.
6-8+ years of progressive tax preparation and review experience, including complex and multi-entity returns.
Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws.
Experience with ASC 740 income tax provision work.
Proficiency with CCH Tax; QuickBooks; Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Acrobat.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Close vision for reviewing documents and data entry.
Ability to communicate effectively in person and electronically.
Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and related office equipment for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Client Service & Relationship Management o Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating needs and ensuring decisions reflect the clients best interest.
Serve as a trusted advisor by providing reliable and effective tax, accounting, and financial statement advice.
Tax Preparation & Review o Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Prepare and review international tax filings, including compliance with relevant treaties and reporting obligations.
Perform and review ASC 740 income tax provisions, including deferred tax calculations, uncertain tax positions, and related disclosures.
Prepare and review payroll and information returns.
Review financial records such as income statements, documentation of expenditures, and prior-year returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Compliance & Planning o Identify potential tax credits and liabilities to ensure timely and accurate filings.
Research complex domestic and international tax issues.
Ensure compliance with IRS, state, and foreign regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of client information according to company procedures.
Team Leadership & Development o Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on complex tax matters.
Review team work for technical accuracy and completeness.
Assist in developing best practices for tax preparation and review processes.
