At present, we have an excellent tax opportunity for a Senior Tax Manager. This tax position will play a critical role in handling of the company’s U.S. and Canadian federal, state income tax matters, including tax accounting, tax provision, tax audit defense.

  • 10+ years of progressive related tax experience in Public and/or Corporate setting
  • Strong track record of successfully managing people and processes (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant

  • M.S. degree (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage income tax compliance and tax provision processes covering US and Canada based companies.
  • On proactive, reactive and as directed basis, research new tax developments to advise management of tax risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate, assign and resolve multiple income tax audits for North American taxing jurisdictions (federal, state, county, local and provincial).
  • Timely and efficiently respond to audit data requests and seek favorable tax outcomes.
  • Maintain and update income tax department policies, procedures, processes, and systems.
  • Cultivate working relationships across functional areas to encourage open dialogue on any tax matters related to contemplated business activities or transactions.
  • Manage, train and coach staff.
  • As allowed by applicable law, this role may need to perform late night, weekend, or holiday coverage due to month, quarter and year end requirements.
