This position is slated to start Q2 of 2026 TJT is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to help our Trust, Estate & Gift practice. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will focus on tax review and oversee all aspects of trust and gift tax compliance. You will provide expert tax advice to high-net-worth clients to optimize their tax positions and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. Additionally, you will participate in leading a team of TJT tax professionals and developing intentional relationships with clients. Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive tax experience with trusts and estates, as well as high net worth clients
  • Technical expertise complex gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Current CPA certification preferred
  • Previous work experience in the public accounting industry is required
  • Strong tax research skills
  • Excellent managerial, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Review complex trust, estate, and gift tax returns
  • Research and consult on various estate, gift and trust related issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues, generation skipping tax issues and wealth transfer planning
  • Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects on time, within budget, and up to management standards
  • Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership
  • Develop a working knowledge of the client's business, take responsibility for completing assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and proactively apply new knowledge to client engagements
  • Collaborate with other tax professionals within the firm to coordinate efforts, share knowledge, and ensure efficient and effective delivery of tax services
  • Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations
  • Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations
