About The Position

As a Senior Manager in our Private Client Services (PCS) practice, you will work collaboratively with engagement teams for a wide range of sophisticated clients, including some of the wealthiest families in the US, family offices, owner-operated business entities, alternative investment fund principals, and trusts and estates. You will manage client engagements, assist in comprehensive tax planning, conduct reviews of complex tax returns, perform research, and engage in business development activities. Requirements

  • 6+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 5 years of Private Client experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree (Preferred).
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA, JD, or EA).
  • Project management experience showing organization skills and ability to multi-task successfully.
  • Broad technical knowledge of Private Client related tax issues.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven high integrity and care to do the right thing.
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagements with the support and collaboration of other Andersen professionals and outside advisors.
  • Assist in providing comprehensive tax planning for a variety of clients.
  • Serve as one of two key contacts for relevant clients.
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
  • Perform research and draft technical tax memoranda.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Interns, Associates, and Senior Associates.
  • Participate in local office and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Receive formal PCS and on-the-job training in daily interactions with top tax leaders.
  • Engage in business development activities, including preparing proposals and presenting in webinars.
