Senior Tax Associate
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our Charlotte, NC practice starting April or May 2026. You will provide tax compliance services to predominantly US-inbound international businesses (primarily German/European) in the manufacturing and distribution industry. Strong project management, multitasking, and communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and results-driven. Requirements
- 2-4 years of professional Federal and state income tax experience, including experience in public accounting
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Masters degree in Accounting/Taxation
- CPA license or similar certification preferred
- Experience in the Manufacturing & Distribution industry
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills in English
- Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Positive team player attitude
Nice To Haves
- ProSystem fx Engagement experience
- CCH Axcess Tax experience
- German writing and communication skills are an advantage but not required
Responsibilities
- Prepare predominantly Federal and state corporate, partnership, 1120-F permanent establishment, and, to a lesser degree, individual tax returns
- Perform technical tax research on a variety of Federal, state, and international tax topics
- Assist with the preparation of income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers under ASC 740
- Provide timely and high-quality services and deliverables that exceed client expectations
- Maintain active communication to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction
- Prepare clear, concise work papers and other communications
- Train junior staff on completing engagement work and other tasks
- Perform a light, first-round review before more senior reviews
