About The Position

Senior Associates in our Alternative Investment Funds practice work directly with Management as they engage in the tax planning, consulting, and compliance process for a variety of complex clients, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, fund of funds and venture capital. Senior Associates can expect to review and prepare tax returns, continue to build their technical knowledge of tax planning, consulting, and compliance for national and foreign entities through formal and on the job training, consistently work with management to identify and research complex client issues, provide regular updates to clients, assist in project management of compliance and consulting engagements, supervise and participate in the professional development of Associates and Interns, and receive formal tax training related to Alternative Investment Funds, on the job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD).
  • Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Advanced credential or desire to obtain advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (i.e. CPA, JD).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities.
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare tax returns.

  • Work with management to identify and research complex client issues.

  • Receive formal tax training related to Alternative Investment Funds.
