YOUR ROLE AT SIXT You support the tax department by preparing quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and IFRS standards You manage the review of complex federal, state, and international income tax filings prepared by third-party providers You liaise with internal and external stakeholders to communicate tax research findings and implement solutions You maintain quarterly general ledger account reconciliations for all income tax accounts You receive and oversee tax audits, identifying and mitigating tax risks You assist with other areas of the tax department as needed, including sales and use, property tax, and process improvement YOUR SKILLS MATTER Experience You have 3+ years of professional experience in tax, including compliance, controversy, tax accounting, and process improvement Education You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (CPA certification preferred) and are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Technical Proficiency You possess knowledge of income tax provision under US GAAP and/or IFRS, and are experienced with ERP systems (SAP a plus), Tax Depreciation software (BNA Fixed Assets is a plus), and Tax Compliance software (ONESOURCE Income Tax a plus) Soft Skills You demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with stakeholders Commitment to Excellence You are success-oriented, able to identify and mitigate tax risks, and willing to take on multiple tasks Travel You are able to work from our Fort Lauderdale office at least 4 days per week WHAT WE OFFER Comprehensive Health Insurance Access healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision), life insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, pet insurance, and a 401k retirement plan.
