About The Position

Principal Responsibilities • Manage the overall U.S. tax compliance process for various senior executive benefit program investment vehicles, generally treated as partnerships for US tax purposes • Liaise with various departments such as HR, Legal, Compensation Accounting, and Financial Reporting to gather and organize data required for U.S. tax compliance process • Prepare and/or review quarterly estimate information and calculate tax distributions • Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual state pass-through entity tax (PTET) filings and payments • Address questions from Investor Relations and employee investors regarding the senior leadership benefit programs and investor tax reporting • Partner with other members of the tax team and other departments to drive automation initiatives and improve tax compliance processes • Manage any tax audits for the employee investment entities and respond to inquiries and notices from tax authorities • Assist with resolving complex technical tax issues, consulting with experts, and preparing well-synthesized findings to tax management team • Participate in cross-functional projects to support operations, drive departmental excellence, and foster teamwork • Monitor the changing tax landscape and assist with strategic tax planning initiatives • Assist with broader US tax compliance team processes and initiatives, including Schedule K-1 and US income tax return processes as well as special projects associated with Millennium’s investment funds and management companies Qualifications/Skills Required • 6+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally in public accounting, asset management, or a mix of both • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills together with excellent interpersonal and client service skills • Basic understanding of partnership taxation, financial products, and their tax implications • Experience working on Forms 1040 and family office tax matters a plus • Strong technical proficiency with web applications and MS Office • Ability to multi-task as well as meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally in public accounting, asset management, or a mix of both
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills together with excellent interpersonal and client service skills
  • Basic understanding of partnership taxation, financial products, and their tax implications
  • Strong technical proficiency with web applications and MS Office
  • Ability to multi-task as well as meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on Forms 1040 and family office tax matters a plus
