Senior Tax Advisor
About The Position
Due to continuing growth, Platform Accounting Group is seeking a Senior Tax Advisor to join their team. This role involves traditional tax preparation and client advisory, along with a strong sense of entrepreneurship, strategy, and collaboration. The Senior Tax Advisor will have a unique opportunity to work with a growing team of professionals, expanding their knowledge and experience across a wide variety of clientele. Platform Accounting Group is a rapidly growing professional services firm providing tax, accounting, assurance, IT consulting, and wealth management services to small and medium-sized businesses and their owners. They currently have 50+ offices across 15 States and offer flexible work arrangements to prioritize work/life balance in a professional and dynamic environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience preparing a variety of tax returns
- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies relating to tax, accounting, and finance
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- EA or CPA required (or actively working towards licensure)
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree Preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex individual, business (c-corp, s-corp, partnerships), exempt & fiduciary tax returns.
- Build, maintain and enhance client relationships.
- Advise clients on issues related to tax, finance & business practices.
- Identify, research, and resolve complex tax issues.
- Support manager with various ad-hoc projects.
