About The Position

As a Senior Tax Accountant working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual provision for income taxes and review of federal and state income tax returns. Responsibilities will also include tax planning and research. We trust that as a Senior Tax Accountant you will: (responsibilities) Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and supporting workpapers Prepare income tax disclosures and footnotes in line with SEC and PCAOB requirements Review state and federal tax returns Assist with tax research and the implications of tax laws Maintain internal controls around the tax process for accuracy Assist with tax controversy/audits Prepare technical tax memorandums You are willing to perform other duties as assigned What you will need: (competencies, behaviors & attributes) Analytical mindset Good communication skills Detail Oriented Ethics & Integrity Independent Worker Ability to prioritize About you: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Master’s degree in taxation (preferred) CPA Certification (preferred) 2+ years of public and/or industry tax experience Experience preparing corporate and partnership tax returns ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes experience Strong accounting and analytical skills Strong computer skills: proficiency in Tax software (OneSource, CCH, GoRS, etc.), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Alteryx experience a plus FLSA Status: Exempt Will have responsibilities such as: Office or non-manual work, which is directly related to management or general business operations Act as a primary component of which involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance Essential Functions: Successful job applicants will be able to perform these functions.
