About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. As a Senior Task Lead with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to do the following: Lead complex systems integration and asset management projects for DHS/CBP, ensuring alignment with SELC, ALF, and federal acquisition processes. Serve as the primary lead for consolidating multiple legacy asset systems into a unified enterprise solution, overseeing technical integration with finance, facilities, and ITSM platforms. Direct full lifecycle systems engineering activities, including requirements management, CONOPS and ORD development, design, development, deployment, and sustainment. Define and optimize end-to-end asset lifecycle workflows (acquisition through disposal), including specialized asset categories and associated financial, operational, and audit processes. Oversee enterprise data strategy for asset management, including data architecture, ontology development, data standardization, and data quality/cleansing to enable advanced analytics and reporting. Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity and privacy requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, Zero Trust) and support secure solution design for both enterprise and mobile/offline use cases. Lead integrated product teams and coordinate with CBP, DHS, and interagency stakeholders to drive consensus, manage dependencies, and achieve operational readiness. Apply formal project management methodologies and, as appropriate, agile practices to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and performance metrics. Develop and execute transition, change management, and training strategies to support migration from numerous legacy systems to a single enterprise asset management solution. Define technical requirements, supporting procurement activities, and evaluating solutions and technologies for asset tracking and management. Provide executive-level communications, reports, and briefings, translating complex technical and financial issues into clear recommendations for senior leadership and oversight bodies. Mentor and guide junior staff in systems engineering and project management best practices, fostering a high-performing, collaborative project team.

Requirements

  • Active CBP BI or TOP SECRET
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of related experience; Master's preferred.
  • Knowledge of best practices related to systems integration.
  • Experience with the SELF, ALF, and Agile processes.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
