About The Position

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist in Information Technology/IT for USA & Canada at 3M, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with innovative individuals and make a significant impact in the recruitment process. This role allows you to transition from various backgrounds into a fulfilling career at 3M, where you will develop external networks to drive talent into our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. You will act as a strategic Talent Acquisition Consultant, working closely with IT hiring leaders across multiple divisions including Development, Cybersecurity, Data and Analytics, IT Strategy, and Digital. Your responsibilities will include utilizing various recruiting tools, conducting research for innovative sourcing strategies, and monitoring performance metrics to track candidates throughout the sourcing process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution and five (5) years of experience in IT recruiting and three (3) years of experience building and deploying various IT external talent-sourcing strategies in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher and nine (9) years of experience in IT recruiting and three (3) years of experience building and deploying various IT external talent-sourcing strategies in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust external networks across US & Canada to drive talent to our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and pipeline in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Act as a strategic Talent Acquisition Consultant, collaborating with IT hiring leaders to support recruiting efforts in our Development, Cybersecurity, Data and Analytics, IT Strategy and Digital divisions.
  • Utilize recruiting and candidate-related tools and systems, including applicant tracking systems, resume databases and internet sourcing tools.
  • Conduct proactive research and explore new ideas to create innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Convey competitive intelligence and trends to hiring managers and business stakeholders.
  • Research and build strategies for talent pooling, market mapping, market research and competitor analysis.
  • Monitor individual performance using data and metrics to track candidates through the sourcing process.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Workforce Planning, University & Events Recruiting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
