About The Position

Senior Systems Security Analyst (Hybrid - Columbia, SC) The Senior Systems Security Analyst provides advanced expertise in cybersecurity operations, including research, monitoring, and administration of security tools. This role focuses on evaluating emerging technologies, leading incident response efforts, and optimizing security platforms to strengthen organizational resilience. What you'll do Security Research & Strategic Recommendations Evaluate emerging security technologies and tools for potential adoption and implementation. Conduct comparative analysis of solutions based on organizational requirements. Prepare reports and presentations with actionable recommendations for leadership. Stay informed on industry trends, threat intelligence, and best practices. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to assess proof-of-concept deployments. Security Monitoring & Incident Response Leadership Monitor alerts and logs from security platforms to identify anomalies. Lead investigations and triage of security incidents to determine severity and impact. Coordinate with IT teams to contain and remediate threats. Document incidents and produce post-incident reports. Maintain and update incident response playbooks and procedures. Security Tool Administration & Optimization Maintain and optimize security platforms to ensure operational efficiency. Configure alerts, dashboards, and automated workflows for proactive monitoring. Ensure tools are updated and integrated with other systems. Troubleshoot and resolve tool-related issues promptly. Document configurations and operational procedures for continuity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
4-6 years in a relevant field.
Experienced with handling all aspects of company-wide deployment of security tools and processes, especially privileged access management solutions.
