Requirements

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
• Has 10+ years of experience in IT , including 5+ years supporting mainframe environments
• Is known for their ability to diagnose and resolve complex system problems
• Stands out for their strong Assembler programming skills
• Demonstrates expertise with z/VSE subsystems (CICS, POWER, VTAM)
• Is recognized for their attention to detail and critical thinking

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support our z/VSE operating system and subsystems (CICS, POWER, VTAM, etc.)
• Manage and support third-party products (EPIC, BIM-EDIT, FAQS/PCS, etc.)
• Troubleshoot system-level issues and performance bottlenecks
• Support our Lifecomm policy administration system at the infrastructure level
• Write and maintain system utilities and exits in HLASM
• Handle system IPLs, patches, and upgrades
• Perform capacity planning and system tuning
• Collaborate with vendor support when needed
• Document systems and procedures
• Respond to compliance and security requests
