About The Position

PeopleTec is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support the deployment and integration of AI-enabled training systems. This engineer will be embedded with the on-site team to provide direct technical support to subject matter experts (SMEs) and Government stakeholders, helping to accelerate environment readiness, manage infrastructure, and integrate containerized AI systems into a classified VMware-based environment. A strong emphasis is placed on scripting experience using PowerCLI, Python, or similar tools, as these are essential for automating system configuration, infrastructure management, and deployment operations. The selected candidate will bridge the gap between dispersed teams by facilitating on-site deployments, troubleshooting system-level issues, and supporting software assurance approvals.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in systems integration, virtualization, and system administration
  • Security+ certification (or higher), meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, VCF, and NSX
  • Proficiency with Red Hat Linux and Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting
  • Scripting experience using PowerCLI, Python, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with deploying and supporting containerized applications
  • Understanding of RMF, ATO, and cybersecurity compliance processes within the DoD
  • Experience designing and supporting web-based server/app architectures
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting missile defense, C2BMC, or classified training systems
  • Exposure to GPU-backed AI/ML workloads and containerized model deployment
  • Knowledge of the MDA Software Assurance process and EMASS documentation handling
  • Background in DevSecOps or secure cloud-native system development is a plus
  • Familiarity with modern web frameworks and experience designing web apps to support transition away from legacy Java/.exe dependencies

Responsibilities

  • Support VMware Cloud Foundation and NSX network setup, VM provisioning, and virtual infrastructure administration
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Podman, Docker, and related tooling
  • Perform system administration for both Red Hat Linux and Windows Server environments
  • Script and automate configuration using PowerCLI, Python, and Ansible
  • Assist in preparing software artifacts for MDA Software Assurance (SWAP) review, including vulnerability scan results and system documentation
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to support deployment of large language models and associated applications in GPU-enabled VMs
  • Facilitate secure delivery and testing of AI-enabled training systems for C2BMC users
  • Provide weekly status updates and collaborate with infrastructure personnel to maintain progress
  • Develop and maintain web-based interfaces for remote system access and control, leveraging secure web frameworks and modern front-end tools
