As our technology landscape continues to grow, we are expanding our IT Operations organization and seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to play a critical role in the design, reliability, security, and evolution of our infrastructure. Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This role is a hands-on technical position with significant influence over architecture decisions, operational standards, automation strategy, and system reliability. You will partner closely with developers, security, and IT Operations team members to ensure our platforms are highly available, secure, scalable, and operationally efficient. You will be expected to take ownership of complex systems, mentor junior engineers, and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, stability, and resilience.

Requirements

  • Advanced experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, and IIS
  • Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments
  • Deep understanding of on-premises and public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience implementing and managing monitoring and alerting platforms (for example, Splunk or similar tools)
  • Strong background in network design, security principles, and best practices
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages
  • Extensive experience with configuration management and infrastructure orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, implement, and maintain reliable and scalable IT infrastructure across on-premises and public cloud environments
  • Serve as a senior technical authority for system architecture, infrastructure standards, and operational best practices
  • Own the administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft SharePoint environments, including security, permissions, integrations, and lifecycle management
  • Manage and support SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 collaboration services to ensure reliability, performance, and governance
  • Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow solutions, including workflows, business rules, forms, integrations, and automation to support IT Operations processes
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure, network, and application issues across multiple environments
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions across a broad set of technologies
  • Proactively monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security to ensure high uptime and reliability
  • Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and configuration risks across infrastructure and applications
  • Optimize network configuration and performance to ensure security, scalability, and stability
  • Document and continuously improve IT Operations standards, processes, policies, and runbooks
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other systems engineers and IT staff
  • Partner with development teams to support DevOps practices, cloud-native solutions, and operational readiness
  • Participate in architecture reviews, infrastructure planning, and technology evaluations
  • Support incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements
