About The Position

S&A Legal Management Services, Inc., operating in partnership with Scott & Associates, P.C., is a legal recoveries organization committed to providing exceptional legal representation to industry clients.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our core IT infrastructure, with a primary focus on Dell VxRail HCI, VMware vSphere, and the Omnissa Horizon (VDI) platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems, providing expert-level support for server virtualization, virtual desktops, and cloud-integrated solutions. You will be responsible for system stability, security, patching, and performance optimization in a high-availability environment.

Requirements

• Virtualization: Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere 7.x/8.x, vSAN, and NSX.
• HCI: Hands-on experience with Dell VxRail infrastructure.
• VDI: Proven experience with Omnissa Horizon 8, App Volumes, and DEM.
• OS: Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server (AD, GPO, Clustering) and Linux (command-line proficiency).
• Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, switching/routing, and load balancing (F5).
• Automation: PowerShell, PowerCLI, or Ansible.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in system administration, engineering, or virtualization roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV or VCP-DTM) or equivalent Omnissa certification (OCE-H) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• VxRails & VMware Management: Deploy, configure, upgrade, and maintain Dell VxRail clusters and VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter). Ensure optimal performance through vSAN management, vMotion, and DRS.
• Omnissa/VDI Administration: Design, implement, and support Omnissa Horizon View, App Volumes, User Environment Manager (DEM), and Workspace ONE.
• System Operations: Administer Windows Server (2016-2025) and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, and DHCP.
• Infrastructure Health & Monitoring: Monitor system performance using VMware vRealize Operations (vROps), identifying and resolving bottlenecks proactively.
• Patching & Security: Perform regular lifecycle management (firmware, ESXi, OS patches). Implement security hardening for virtual environments and comply with security policies.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Maintain and test backup solutions (e.g., Veeam) and disaster recovery strategies, including VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• Automation: Develop scripts using PowerShell/PowerCLI, Bash, or Python to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Documentation & Support: Create detailed technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and provide 2nd/3rd level technical support.
