About The Position

ITAC Solutions is assisting a company based in Auburn, AL search for a Sr. Systems Engineer! This person leads team efforts in performing a challenging number of complex, wide-ranging IT functions across onsite and cloud infrastructure. Here's what you need to know! Requirements

• Windows Server and workstation administration- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
• Virtualization with VMware or Hyper-V
• Experience working with Remote Monitoring Services such as ConnectWise.
• Network Administration with tools such as Cisco products, Meraki, and VPN.
• Linux Administration
• Scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Chef, and Terraform.
• Microsoft Azure
• DevOps tools such as Jenkins, CI/CD, and Artifactory.
• Experience creating and editing technical documentation. Being able to understand the importance of documentation.
• Bachelor's Degree in CS or related field and 3 years of IT experience OR 7 years of professional IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate and lead business discussions for ascertaining technology needs.
• Lead efforts to research recommend technical solutions based on business needs.
• Design and engineer high-quality technology solutions that meet availability, reliability, security, performance, and scalability needs.
• Review existing technology solutions, recommend, and implement practical improvements.
• Identify automation opportunities. Propose, test, and implement automated processes and solutions.
• Keep existing technology running effectively, providing top-tier technical support.
• Stay up-to-date on technology trends, developments and best practices.
