As an integral part of Ready Foods’ vision for a leading-edge infrastructure and smart manufacturing ecosystem, the Senior Systems Engineer will play a key role in driving the company’s Industry 4.0 focused digital transformation across business and manufacturing. This position is charged with building and overseeing IT cloud and on-premises systems infrastructure and ensuring that enterprise and end-user systems function autonomously, efficiently, and securely. The ideal candidate brings expertise in standards-based infrastructure systems, robust cybersecurity practices, and effective troubleshooting within multi-vendor systems, along with a genuine interest in manufacturing and engineering. This full-time role reports directly to the Technology Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related area, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience administering, engineering, planning and supporting IT infrastructure systems in a networked environment with hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience in manufacturing and industrial environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Windows server and desktop operating systems and administration in both cloud and on-prem environments, and associated hardware.
  • Experience with cloud resource cost management and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of IT security policies and integration into network, devices, appliances, and server systems.
  • Experience with automation of repetitive processes and visual problem solving.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud technologies, Microsoft Azure, SCADA, and MES are a plus.
  • Good understanding and experience applying manufacturing systems technologies and industrial telemetry.
  • A broad understanding of IT standards and demonstrated knowledge across infrastructure disciplines and technologies with methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineer, and operationalize cloud computing technologies and server infrastructure to support enterprise and manufacturing applications, cloud system integrations, enterprise fleet automation, and smart workflow to achieve Industry 4.0 transformation.
  • Provide technical support for offices and manufacturing plants in a hybrid environment and support cybersecurity compliance and other enterprise initiatives.
  • Work closely with functional departments and IT service providers to implement operational requirements for IT systems.
  • Ensure that IT infrastructure standards and policies for hardware, software, communications, data, and security meet infrastructure compliance requirements.
  • Ability to innovate, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies.
  • Manage edge and mobile devices, cloud administration, API security, monitor performance, and infrastructure security.
  • Conduct data backups and disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system architectures, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
