This role is responsible for the design and implementation of IT processes. It provides support to functional areas by creating and communicating solutions to complex problems and projects. The Senior Systems Engineer manages and designs major hardware/software solutions in support of assigned infrastructure hardware and services in the organization, administers infrastructure upgrades, implementations and integrations, and provides technical administrative and configuration support for various platforms including Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, VMware Virtual Infrastructure, Linux, and Application Delivery. The position also involves providing technical support for Infrastructure hardware, software and firmware, including storage systems, and advanced problem resolution for server and client based software.

Requirements

  • 6 years of professional IT & IS experience
  • 0-2 years of prior participation on project teams
  • Expert knowledge of how current trends and technology may be used to support business partners
  • Proficient understanding of and ability to identify how technology solves business problems
  • Core understanding of and ability to connect the needs of multiple MillerKnoll functional areas
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of server hardware components and their interactions with operating systems and other network elements including data storage technologies in an x86/x64 environment
  • Experience with the administration of Data Protection Methods and technologies
  • Experience with the administration of Enterprise Data Protection, Cloud-Native Endpoint Protection, Azure AD, AWS EC2
  • Ability to travel up to 10% or as needed to achieve business objectives

  • Provides technical support of Infrastructure hardware, software and firmware, including storage systems
  • Provides advanced problem resolution for server and client based software
  • Required 24 x 7 on-call support rotation assignments
