Serco is looking for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, to join our team! The engineer will be working as a SEIT Lead to support our Satellite Ground System organization by leading a team in program execution located in Orlando, FL. The SEIT Lead interfaces with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, other leads, as well as the customer. This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain and transfer your DoD Secret security clearance This position is a hybrid position where you will need to work on-site in Orlando, FL. In this role, the key responsibilities will be: Technical Leadership and Execution: Lead the team in the planning and execution of all systems engineering activities, including development, system design, integration, and verification. Team Management: Direct, mentor, and guide a diverse team of systems, cyber, and software engineers, ensuring alignment with program goals and technical best practices. Program Lifecycle Management: Drive the program through its lifecycle, from preliminary design reviews (PDR) to critical design reviews (CDR) and readiness reviews (TRR), ensuring all milestones are met. Integration and Test Oversight: Manage and oversee all integration and test activities, ensuring that end-to-end system verification is performed effectively and all requirements are met. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and stakeholders. Provide clear and concise technical briefings, status reports, and presentations to both internal and external audiences. Risk and Opportunity Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical risks and dependencies, while also identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement. Requirements and Configuration Management: Oversee the definition, management, and verification of system-level requirements. Ensure the integrity of the program's technical baseline through effective configuration management. Agile Methodology Proficiency : Strong knowledge of Agile principles and practices, such as Scrum or Kanban. The ability to adapt and apply these methodologies to systems engineering processes is important. Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and environments, and the ability to pivot strategies as needed.
