About The Position

Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to support a law enforcement customer in Washington, DC.

Requirements

• 8 years of general work experience or 6 years of relevant IT experience with 4 years of administration and operations of servers
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Master's degree may be substituted for 4 additional years of general experience.
• Experience with supporting, operating and maintaining a 24/7 mission-critical data center infrastructure
• Experience managing and administering RHEL in a Windows environment.
• Experience operating in a VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Experience interfacing with network storage solutions - NetApp
• Must have a working knowledge of: Linux Administration (RHEL) DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP Microsoft Server 2012-2025 Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
• TS/SCI Clearance Required

Nice To Haves

• Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)
• Cloud Providers such as AWS and Azure
• VMware vSphere & vCenter

Responsibilities

• Design and support infrastructure systems on Windows-based platforms
• Support and maintain high availability, distributed, multi-clustered server infrastructure and systems
• Responsible for designing server infrastructure analysis, optimization, and capacity planning
• Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as architecture diagrams, technical designs, and SOPs
