About The Position
Acture Solutions is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Centralized Services team. This is a client-facing, hands-on infrastructure role supporting a diverse portfolio across government, education, and commercial environments. If you have strong experience in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure—and enjoy solving complex problems in a fast-paced MSP—this is a high-impact role with growth opportunity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of systems engineering or administration experience (MSP strongly preferred)
- Windows Server (2019–2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID)
- VMware administration and support
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience (Intune, Jamf, Mosyle, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and endpoint management
- Valid driver’s license and background check required.

- Veeam or similar backup solutions
- Email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Linux server administration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple client environments and priorities
- Clear communication with both technical teams and end users
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Windows and Linux server environments
- Manage enterprise infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365
- Support Azure services including Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and SCCM
- Administer virtualization platforms: VMware (primary), plus Hyper-V and Proxmox
- Perform system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployments
- Troubleshoot escalated issues and perform root cause analysis
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions (VEEAM, SaaS Backup)
- Apply security best practices including patching, endpoint protection, and email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Monitor and optimize systems for uptime, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with project teams and support staff across multiple client environments
- Maintain technical documentation and system inventories
- Support compliance efforts (HIPAA, SOC2, FERPA)
