About The Position

Acture Solutions is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Centralized Services team. This is a client-facing, hands-on infrastructure role supporting a diverse portfolio across government, education, and commercial environments. If you have strong experience in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure—and enjoy solving complex problems in a fast-paced MSP—this is a high-impact role with growth opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of systems engineering or administration experience (MSP strongly preferred)
  • Windows Server (2019–2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Entra ID)
  • VMware administration and support
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience (Intune, Jamf, Mosyle, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and endpoint management
  • Valid driver’s license and background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Windows and Linux server environments
  • Manage enterprise infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365
  • Support Azure services including Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and SCCM
  • Administer virtualization platforms: VMware (primary), plus Hyper-V and Proxmox
  • Perform system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployments
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions (VEEAM, SaaS Backup)
  • Apply security best practices including patching, endpoint protection, and email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • Monitor and optimize systems for uptime, performance, and reliability
  • Collaborate with project teams and support staff across multiple client environments
  • Maintain technical documentation and system inventories
  • Support compliance efforts (HIPAA, SOC2, FERPA)
