Senior Systems Engineer
About The Position
The Sr. Systems Engineer applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Key responsibilities will include interacting with the Government, regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts and regularly communicating with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Position Responsibilities Provide automation expertise to an infrastructure team of system engineers and system administrators. Design and implement solutions to optimize infrastructure performance and security. Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex infrastructure issues. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate solutions with existing CI/CD and deployment pipelines. Mentor junior administrators on best practices. Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 8 years experience in a systems engineering role
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes or ECS).
- Experience with cloud platforms
- An active TS/SCI with polygraph
- ITAR U.S. Citizenship required
