Location: Aurora, CO What You Will Do Respond off hours to anomalies and problems on our unique and complex system Monitor and log system conditions alerts and alarms Maintain good working relationships through direct interaction and collaboration with customers, peers, and associate contractors Maintain awareness of operation status of subsystem hardware and the supporting monitoring scripts Obtain/apply technical knowledge on various hardware subsystems. Document discrepancies as they occur. Implement workarounds and contingency plans to minimize impacts of system issues. Contribute to the testing, readiness, training, and implementation of new system deliveries Obtain/maintain technical knowledge of a large repository of formal procedures with the responsibility to accurately select and apply the correct procedure(s) depending on the specific scenario at hand Train new teammates on our system Investigate root cause of problems Work full-time from within our customer on-site facility What You Will Learn The specific and detailed features of our critical asset The interdependencies of our multi system units

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) or Information Technology and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Cshell, PERL, or HTML
  • Experience with Linux and MS Office operating systems
  • Experience with Confluence/Jira system
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scripting language TCL/TK
  • Experience with control-systems theory
  • Experience with electronic systems, Electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience with RF and digital communications
  • Experience with engineering tradeoffs
  • Experience with technical briefings
  • Experience utilizing analysis methods and tools to trouble shoot various events
  • Experience creating, tracking, and executing all or parts of technical projects
