Senior Systems Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a highly capable and detail -oriented Senior Systems Engineer to play a dual role across key delivery projects. This position combines lead business analysis responsibilities for client -facing initiatives with end -to -end ownership of the systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition through to system verification and acceptance. This role is critical in ensuring that solutions are accurately specified, thoroughly validated, and aligned with client expectations, proposed solutions, and product capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a structured engineering mindset, and hands -on leadership across multidisciplinary teams. You will work closely with product management, solution architecture, engineering, verification, and delivery teams to ensure complex back -office system requirements are clearly defined, translated into actionable specifications, and validated through rigorous testing processes.
Requirements
- Proven ability to operate effectively in environments with ambiguity and shifting priorities
- 7+ years’ experience in systems engineering, business analysis, or technical requirements leadership roles
- Strong background in requirements definition, systems design, and verification/validation processes
- Experience working on large -scale enterprise systems, ideally involving high -volume financial transactions
- Demonstrated ability to run requirements workshops and produce clear, structured documentation
- Familiarity with SDLC frameworks, including Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar requirements management platforms

- Exposure to tolling or transportation back -office systems is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Lead the systems engineering function across delivery projects, owning the full lifecycle from requirements development through to verification and acceptance
- Act as the lead business analyst on key projects, gathering, analysing, and translating business needs into detailed system requirements
- Produce and maintain high -quality systems engineering documentation, including:
- Requirements specifications
- Interface control documents
- Use cases, user stories, and workflow documentation
- Requirements traceability matrices
- Verification and validation plans
- Collaborate with solution architects and product teams to ensure requirements are feasible, aligned with solution designs, and clearly understood
- Facilitate cross -functional workshops with internal teams, client stakeholders, and third -party vendors
- Oversee system verification activities, including test planning, test case development, and validation of delivered functionality
- Ensure full traceability between requirements, design, development, and testing outcomes
- Support defect triage, impact assessment, and continuous solution refinement throughout delivery
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, business analysts, and project teams
- Contribute directly to project delivery to ensure successful end -to -end outcomes
