Senior Systems Engineer Capstone Research Corporation is seeking to expand our team. Capstone Research Corporation is headquartered in Huntsville Alabama. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer responsible for executing the oversight of the Joint Tactical Fire Control Integration into the Guam Defense System for the Missile Defense Agency. This will be a high visibility position for Capstone Corporation with a significant opportunity for growth. Salary based on relative experience and education. Key Responsibilities Lead critical efforts to prototype, develop, integrate, demonstrate and test advanced JTIFC cross-Service kill chain capabilities in support of the MDA and Joint Services mission. Support planning and execution of Joint hardware-in-the-loop / software-in-the-loop ground tests, Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) events, flight tests, exercises, and demonstrations Coordinate, develop and refine technical requirements necessary to develop Operational and Systems Architectures Providing technical guidance and support for ongoing Joint Tactical Integrated Fire Control efforts Brief technical requirements and architectures to high-ranking Service and MDA stakeholders Provide weapons system (Aegis, IBCS, ABADS) expertise in key JTIFC efforts Develop and execute system architecture and design, systems documentation, systems requirements, and systems verification. Mentor junior engineers Coordinate efforts across the DoD services, to include multiple government and industry partners through leadership in related Integrated Product Teams and Working Groups Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking Government stakeholders. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers in industry and government. Develop and execute a Research growth strategy with MDA and other Service organizations by identifying stakeholder needs and government and industry partners to leverage capabilities.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering (MS Preferred) with 15+ years of technical and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex system of systems integration efforts from initial concept definition through integration and test, incorporating complex threat scenarios.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Missile Defense System (MDS) components including sensors (RF/EO/IR), command and control, fire control, and weapons. This includes, but is not limited to IBCS, THAAD, Aegis, CEC, TOC-L, F-35, CBC2, CAC2S, G/ATOR, and C2BMC.
  • Experience running complex system of systems programs/projects across their lifecycle from concept definition through fielding and sustainment.
  • Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies.
  • Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Agency.
  • Good problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 2-4 trips per year with multiple destinations.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
