About The Position

The Senior Systems Engineer is an advanced technical contributor on the IT Infrastructure team responsible for implementing, operating, and improving Omada’s core infrastructure, identity, and endpoint management systems. This role applies deep hands-on expertise to solve complex technical problems, enhance system reliability, strengthen security posture, and support the delivery of high-quality technology services across the organization. This role collaborates frequently with cross-functional partners—including Security, Compliance, Finance, Care Delivery, and People & Culture—to translate business requirements into secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. The role requires strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, ownership of complex workstreams, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role contributes to process improvements, participates in automation initiatives, supports compliance activities, and helps ensure seamless day-to-day operations of Omada’s infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Identity & Access Management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Okta, JAMF Pro or similar MDM platforms, Meraki, Palo Alto, Active Directory, and major SaaS ecosystems (Google Workspace and/or O365).
  • Proficiency with scripting/automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and Git workflows, including contributing to IaC patterns without owning architectural design.
  • Experience operating in high-compliance environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, or SOX).
  • Strong understanding of incident response, root cause analysis, system hardening, and secure configuration practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement reliable, secure systems that scale with business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and improve core IT infrastructure systems, including identity platforms, endpoint management tools, networking components, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Administer and support systems such as Okta, Meraki, Palo Alto, JAMF Pro, Active Directory, Google Workspace, Office 365, and Tines.
  • Evaluate infrastructure workflows and propose enhancements that improve reliability, performance, and efficiency.
  • Participate in incident response, resolve complex technical issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Contribute to AI-driven and automation initiatives to reduce manual effort, streamline operations, and improve service delivery.
  • Participate in rotational escalation support for infrastructure services, ensuring timely resolution of high-impact issues and adherence to operational standards.
  • Execute infrastructure projects from planning through deployment, collaborating closely with partners to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Implement configuration updates, integrations, and system improvements in alignment with established standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system configurations, operating procedures, and runbooks, and assist in developing configuration standards and operating procedures in alignment with established best practices.
  • Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to help ensure systems meet HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA, and SOX requirements.
  • Support audit preparation by gathering evidence, validating controls, and addressing findings within the infrastructure domain, under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, and Finance on vendor onboarding and renewals for infrastructure-owned applications.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and user-friendly services that meet operational needs.
  • Participate in process mapping, workflow analysis, and cross-functional improvement initiatives to streamline service delivery.
  • Contribute to cross-functional planning discussions, offering technical insights and translating requirements into actionable implementation steps.
  • Execute automation workstreams in partnership with the IT Automation team, providing subject matter expertise where required.
