The C2BMC Next Program, based in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Network Engineer. The candidate will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program. Your primary responsibilities will be responsible for learning the planning, deploying, and integrating and testing upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites and help where needed.

Requirements

Must have knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies.
Must understand the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Must have firewall knowledge in Juniper, Fortinet and Palo Alto
Must have knowledge of UDP multicast SONET, MSPP, VLANs, and TCP/IP network designs.
Active 8140 Compliant Certification such as: Security+
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Command and control system application development - Previous experience with message translation software
Automated test and pipeline development experience
Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms for scheduling, task management, and tracking project progress.
Agile Methodology Expertise: Strong understanding and application of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM, for iterative development and team collaboration.
Risk Management: Skilled in identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing proactive solutions to ensure project success.
Requirements Management: Experience in decomposing, prioritizing, and managing technical and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and program leadership to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to perform network installations, troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
The position is based at an LM facility in Colorado Springs, CO. However, this role must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties such as deployments.
Must have knowledge of UDP multicast SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
