About The Position

Phoenix Cyber has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting a government client. This position is onsite at the client location. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 10 years of experience in Systems Administration Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software Category IAT Level II Top Secret Clearance or higher Azure, Windows, or AWS certification Responsibilities: Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing critical IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage) within secure environments. System Management & Maintenance: Install, configure, operate, and maintain servers, storage, and peripherals. Administer Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy (GPO), and VMware environments. Ensure system stability, integrity, and performance for core organizational functions. Perform hardware and software upgrades and maintenance. Security & Compliance: Apply and validate DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure secure configurations. Implement and manage security controls, patching, and vulnerability remediation. Participate in Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and accreditation. Monitor for security threats and risks, managing firewalls. Automation & Documentation: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation, and network diagrams. Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Ansible. Create and maintain OS images for deployment. Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced, Tier 2/3 technical support, resolving complex incidents. Monitor system performance (e.g., SCOM) and manage backups/disaster recovery. Escalate issues and provide detailed reports (DLA INFOSPOTS, SITREPs, AARs) for critical outages. Requirements
