The position requires a Systems Engineer with an engineering background in an FMS environment, holding a Secret level clearance. The role is primarily focused on the CSEL program, which involves handheld communication devices supporting wireless, satellite, ground communication, and GPS capabilities. Candidates with experience in engineering within a communication environment are preferred. The contractor will provide Systems Engineering assistance throughout the acquisition process, covering tasks from requirements analysis to system disposal, and may also support Foreign Military Sales.

  • Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests.
  • Perform program reviews to evaluate proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results.
  • Prepare technical documents defining, specifying, and recommending system/subsystem characteristics.
  • Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures.
  • Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training for acquisition, development, integration, and operations oversight.
  • Conduct formal trade studies based on engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, and life cycle cost.
  • Provide technical recommendation support services, including reviews, studies, audits, evaluations, and analyses.
  • Assist with material solution analysis, technology, engineering, and manufacturing development.
  • Support engineering technical and technical management processes associated with version/configuration control.
  • Assist with planning and execution of technical reviews and assessments.
  • Conduct systems architectural analyses and produce architectures.
  • Translate DoD user requirements into system requirements for designing, developing, testing, and evaluating systems.
  • Prepare and review program specifications and develop analytical techniques to optimize system performance.
  • Complete and support requirements definition and analysis, architecture design, implementation, and configuration management.

  • Experience in requirements development, production and deployment, and operation and support.
  • Familiarity with DoD Acquisition processes including Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction.
  • Experience with network architectures, embedded systems, and application deployment.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations.
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales.
  • Experience engineering in a communication environment.
  • Familiarity with foreign ground radar.
