The Maritime Systems Division of Leidos is seeking a systems engineer with experience in algorithm development, especially in relation to tracking, Model Based Systems Engineering, test plan and procedure creation, and requirements development. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of systems engineering processes and experience with hardware/software integration. Experience with MATLAB is highly beneficial. The candidate should work well in a collaborative environment, understand Agile development methodologies, and seek to identify and champion both technical and process innovations. The Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) is a product that supports sensor integration, data and track fusion, and network communications. Tasking and responsibilities will vary depending on project objectives and will extend to programs beyond CEC.

  • Support the development and maintenance of systems engineering artifacts for CEC and other programs including requirements, SysML models, test plans, test procedures, and MATLAB models.
  • Conduct data analysis of system performance.
  • Support simulation enhancements.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Proven experience in all phases of Systems Engineering including requirements, algorithms, integration, test, and modeling.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for an effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
  • Possess business and technical vision.
  • Experience with the Navy's Cooperative Engagement Capability.
  • Experience using the Atlassian toolset.
  • Experience with Cameo/Magic Draw.
  • Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum.
  • Experience with track fusion concepts and implementations.
  • Experience developing and giving presentations to a government customer.
  • Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
