Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with systems administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking or related degree.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, server architecture, visualization, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience with network hardware and technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless networks.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize voice communications, network, server (physical and virtual), and storage hardware and software to address current and future requirements.
  • Actively monitor and maintain technology systems across OSM's facilities, including performance, security and system availability, including response to emergency calls 24/7.
  • Assist in administering OSM's comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals, risk management priorities, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the company's computer replacement program.
  • Partner with vendors to identify optimal cost savings.
  • Troubleshoot production issues on network hardware and provide support to software applications debugging.
  • Monitor network diagnostics to ensure proper network performance, measurement, and debugging protocols.
  • Work closely with Cloud (AWS) data teams to integrate on-prem and remote services into our rapidly expanding hybrid environment.
  • Leverage scripting languages to automate common tasks.
  • Assist in monitoring the data center's performance including the lifespan of equipment.
  • Recommend and justify technology choices to technical and non-technical observers and stakeholders at varying levels of seniority within the business.
  • Provide support, as needed, to the Technical Support team which may include the setup of new equipment, Active Directory account creation or deactivation, as well as basic technical support to employees.
