The Effectors Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is currently hiring a Senior Systems Engineer – Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) to join our Tucson, AZ location on the Coyote Block 2C program. SE&TC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and partner with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers. The Senior Systems Engineer – Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) is a technical role contributing to requirements development, requirements decomposition of complex subsystems, verification matrix development, and oversight of created verification artifacts. The Coyote Block 2C is a Joint Urgent Operational Need (JUON) fielded program in high-rate development while also working toward DD250 certification. This is an Onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of (5) five years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in defining, decomposition, and verification approach of requirements through specification release
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics
  • Ability to work independently and work with SMEs, CEs, LSEs, and other program stakeholders to make informed technical design decisions.
  • Experience with requirements management and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (i.e. Cameo)
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Familiarity with DoD customer infrastructure and Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle

Responsibilities

  • You will develop system and subsystem requirements for complex systems by collaborating with several IPTLs and SMEs to obtain necessary design information
  • Work with peers and program technical SMEs to review deliverable work products through the formal release process
  • Participate in integration, troubleshooting and failure investigations
  • Communicate to the Systems IPTL to provide status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed.
  • Organize technical discussions to formulate plans of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines
