About The Position

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a global team that will create high quality products that meet rigid safety and airworthiness standards for flight. Our department continues to push the technology envelope for processing technologies in everything from operating systems to user applications and the middleware which binds these together.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Python.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintaining of flight-critical embedded software for military avionics displays supporting programs such as Ch-53K, CH-47f, Coast Guard and beyond.
  • Conduct engineering processes and standard work, including verification and qualification procedures.
  • Assist in conducting disciplinary research on one or more stages of the equipment design phase to develop design options and recommendations.
  • Determine end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
  • Organize tasks, coordinate team efforts, ask questions, communicate status, raise issues, brainstorm ideas, help others, practice active listening, and promote a collaborative environment.
