About The Position

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aerospace technology. Your expertise in systems engineering will be instrumental in developing system designs and validating multiple domain Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) mission systems solutions for military customers. This position is based in Richardson, TX or Cedar Rapids, IA, and requires a focus on customer needs and requirements to design, develop, and analyze both hardware and software systems, from black box to complex end-to-end platform systems.

Requirements

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Current Secret security clearance
• Experience in systems engineering, particularly in aerospace technology
• Ability to design, develop, and analyze hardware and software systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems
• Familiarity with military systems and requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace system requirements
• Design, develop, and model systems and sub-systems
• Develop and verify test procedures at the system and sub-system levels
• Plan project level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals
• Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects
• Interact with a cross-functional team including Engineers, Engineering leaders, Program Managers, Business Developers, Finance, Quality, and Production
• Represent the Systems engineering team at internal and external stakeholder meetings
• Occasionally travel as required.
