As our next Senior Systems Engineer and as a member of our team, you will be provided with the training and tools to help grow the skills you will need to become a subject matter expert (SME) in the systems engineering lifecycle. Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret after start.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience in developing and executing systems level test plans/cases to be performed during systems level integration and testing.
• Experience with capture, analysis and decomposition of System requirements.
• Experience identifying, analyzing and resolving problems in all phases of the system lifecycle.
• Experience working with customers, end users, hardware design teams, and software design teams.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with RF Systems and/or Mission Systems solutions.
• Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) design tools (Enterprise Architect, Cameo, or equivalent) using SysML.
• Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
• Participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and decompose systems level requirements and associate these requirements with models created using a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool, SysML via Cameo.
• Serve as a systems engineering focal to capture, analyze, decompose, model, translate and create requirements for large complex systems.
• Develop documentation around functional, interface and performance requirements, for hardware and software implementations, including identifying architecturally significant requirements and technical risk areas.
• Lead and/or support technical proposals and serve as a subject matter expert during non-advocate, internal and customer reviews.
• Interface with both external and internal customers, using both oral and written skills, to build great working relationships with stakeholders and internal team members.
• Implement new design approaches, tools, and techniques based on customer needs.
• Develop and track performance metrics and defect trends.
• Develop and execute systems level test plans/cases to be performed during systems level integration and testing.
