About The Position

The Senior Systems Engineer for L3 Driving Functions at NVIDIA will play a crucial role in developing and productizing innovative solutions for autonomous vehicles. This position involves engaging with customers, defining feature requirements, and leading the architecture development while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role encompasses the entire system life cycle, from initial discussions to final product release, making it both challenging and rewarding.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of work experience in automotive, aerospace, or defense industries.
• Validated experience in systems engineering for safety-critical systems including requirement analysis and testing strategy.
• Excellent communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving.

Nice To Haves

• Product experience on SAE Level 3 and beyond autonomous driving systems.
• SysML experience.
• Certification experience with regulation and safety standards such as UN-R-157, ISO26262, ISO21448.
• C++ or other real-time software coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers frequently on feature behavior alignment and interface definition.
• Develop vehicle level feature requirements considering customer expectations, regulations, and company strategy.
• Lead the functional and physical architecture development in SysML.
• Support functional safety and SOTIF evaluations with the safety engineering organization.
• Develop subsystem and element level requirements and drive top-down requirement traceability with teams.
• Support program execution with product and development teams.
• Participate in verification and validation activities to ensure test-requirement coverage and efficiency.
• Support next-generation platform solution investigation and hardware selections.
