The Collins Collaborative Mission Autonomy team is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer- Integration & Testing with an active US Secret security clearance to join our team. This is an onsite position and can be located in Fort Wayne, IN (preferred), or McKinney, TX or Cedar Rapids, IA or El Segundo, CA. Requirements

Typically requires 5+ years of work-related experience with Systems/Software Engineering, to include, but not limited to:
Demonstrated experience supporting integration and tests (I&T) activities of complex systems, including distributed software systems
Automated testing experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks and tools such Behave, Gherkin
Experience in technical writing (e.g., System Engineering Management Plans, Technical reports, Engineering notebooks, Test Plans/Reports, etc.)
Experience in software development using C, C++, Python, OR similar programming languages.
Demonstrated experience one or more phases of software development, including architecture and design, implementation, testing, system integration, and sustainment.
Demonstrated completion of assigned tasks on time and on budget and completed work products are of high quality.
Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members, teammates, and disciplines.
Willingness to travel occasionally to support working groups, integration and test, and/or customer events (up to 25% travel).
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Network Communications, Datalinks, Multi-Function RF Capabilities, and Autonomy systems development.
Private Pilot License or familiarity with aviation concepts, airworthiness activities, knowledge and understanding of National Airspace regulations and operating restrictions.
Experience in analysis of warfare Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P).
Experience leading a team, Integrated Product Team, or similar.
Familiarity modeling & simulation (e.g., AFSIM), Python, Linux, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Behave, Gherkin
Familiarity with software development methodologies such as: Agile development/lifecycle, Test Driven Development.
Demonstrated work is performed without appreciable direction.
Ability to work on site regularly (60% +).
Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Engineering from and ABET approved college or university.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams composed of systems, software, test, and mission engineering.
Support systems and software engineering program deliverables.
Support test activities between systems and software teams. This includes planning, conducting, and documenting tests, as well as collaborating with the software engineering team members to discuss/address test results.
May support customer-led demonstrations and collaborate with customer/user community to refine our collaborative mission autonomy product.
Support the Systems Engineering leadership team to provide an innovative solution that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
