About The Position

Role Summary Provides advanced systems engineering, integration planning, and technical readiness assessments for national crime-data reporting systems. Supports system modernization, data-exchange improvements, and coordination with state, local, tribal, and federal reporting partners. Key Duties Conduct technical readiness reviews for incident-based reporting systems, use-of-force data collections, and related national crime-statistics platforms. Support requirements development, architecture definition, system design reviews, and testing. Prepare detailed technical specifications for data-collection processes and system enhancements. Support program and project management activities, including integration planning and solution analysis. Provide guidance on XML schemas, flat-file formats, and data-exchange mechanisms. Evaluate public-facing data tools and recommend best practices for access and usability. Coordinate with reporting agencies, developers, technical teams, and program leadership. Assess the impact of business-rule changes on data-collection systems and data workflows.

Requirements

  • Top Secret
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience with XML schemas, flat-file data formats, and system interfaces.
  • Knowledge of national data-collection environments or reporting systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with criminal-justice information systems or large public-sector data platforms.
  • Agile/Scrum or SAFe certification.
