Job Overview: The Senior Systems Engineer III supports the design, development, and implementation of complex software and system solutions in support of government programs. This role applies engineering principles to analyze user requirements, develop system architectures, and ensure that software solutions meet technical, functional, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience analyzing system requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary technical environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug software applications and systems that incorporate logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Analyze user and system requirements to determine system capabilities, performance needs, and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and system architects, throughout the system development lifecycle.
  • Conduct technical research and contribute to the planning, design, development, and deployment of electronic data processing systems.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, operating instructions, and technical manuals.
  • Evaluate and resolve system issues related to program intent, input/output requirements, data acquisition, and programming techniques.
  • Design, develop, and support system utilities, compilers, assemblers, and operating systems as required.
  • Ensure software and system solutions comply with established standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Support system integration, testing, and validation activities to ensure performance and reliability.
