Job Overview: The Systems Engineer III Senior provides advanced systems engineering support to the Enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (E-ICAM) Program Management Office (PMO) within a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) environment. This role applies engineering principles and technical expertise to the design, development, testing, and integration of complex software applications and systems, ensuring alignment with program objectives, security requirements, and established software standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive systems engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex software and system development efforts.
  • Proven ability to analyze user needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior systems engineer performing system and software design, development, documentation, testing, debugging, and integration activities.
  • Design and develop applications, software, and systems incorporating logical and mathematical solutions to meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and system architects in the planning, design, development, and implementation of electronic data processing systems.
  • Analyze user and system requirements to resolve issues related to system intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and operational controls.
  • Develop and prepare system and software documentation, including operating instructions and technical artifacts.
  • Design, develop, and support compilers, assemblers, utility programs, operating systems, and related system-level software components, as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable software engineering standards, quality assurance processes, and security requirements.
  • Support system integration, performance optimization, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering subject matter expertise to program stakeholders and integrated teams.
