We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Systems Engineer to oversee installations and upgrades of our on-premises Connective Automation Platform in customer environments. Reporting to the Director of Special Projects, the ideal candidate will serve as lead Installation Engineer in a “player/coach” role, overseeing installations and upgrades, ensuring high-quality service, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer satisfaction and business goals.

  • Oversee installation & upgrade services, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of projects.
  • Conduct infrastructure sizing in customer environment based on deployment size.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build positive relationships with our partners and end customers.
  • Serve as “player/coach” on a team of installation professionals by both conducting installations, as well as by providing guidance and expertise to other Installation Engineers.
  • Serve as point of escalation to other Installation Engineers as needed.
  • Participate in weekly status review meetings for all in-progress installations.
  • Keep installation collateral (PowerPoint presentations, template documents) current by updating documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as sales, engineering, and customer success, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor the progress of installations, ensuring adherence to company standards and client requirements, drive resolution of issues along with customer support and engineering.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in relevant field
  • Strong communication skills allowing to interface with customers, customer leadership teams and Worksoft leadership.
  • Ability to advise and work with customer IT teams of varying levels of skill and experience
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing installations or other IT projects
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions
  • 3+ years hands-on experience installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting in Microsoft environments: Microsoft web server and desktop administration skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or similar database
  • Manage and troubleshoot third-party software and applications, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills to quickly assess the impact, complexity, and urgency of technical issues
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows access rights/security
  • Proficiency in test management software and other relevant tools
  • Strong written & spoken English
  • Datacenter infrastructure experience
  • Ability to work autonomously in problem solving capacity and possess strong empathy
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • In-depth knowledge of remote computing (RDP, VM, AWS, RDS, Azure, VDI, terminal server, Citrix, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate networks and expertise in the installation processes relevant to the industry (e.g. IT systems)
