We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer – Cost Account Manager to support a cross-disciplined Integrated Product Team (IPT) of engineers for a large-scale software development effort. Your in-depth knowledge of cost and schedule management, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance will be critical to driving program success and delivering cutting-edge solutions. This position is onsite in Aurora, CO, supporting the IPT’s development of a satellite command and control system.

  • Plan all time-phased scope and budgets for the IPT, partnering with the Program Planning and Finance discipline to develop and maintain the IPT’s Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) discrete tasks as well as status Level of Effort (LOE) tasks.
  • Manage the IPT’s Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance by reviewing labor and material actuals, supporting analysis of actuals vs plan, schedule status, cost/schedule integration, cost/schedule performance, corrective action plans, performance recovery plans, rolling wave baseline planning, Budget Change Requests (BCRs), Latest Revised Estimate (LRE), and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
  • Contribute to development of all EVM-related deliverables and associated program performance metrics, as well as prepare for and execute Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs) and supporting Government Surveillance Reviews.
  • Become Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certified within 6 months.
  • Obtain a Polygraph after start.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in change management and/or cost estimation.
  • Use of EV Tools (e.g. Planning/Scheduling, EVMS, IMP/IMS, Risk Management, Financial Forecasts or EAC).
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team.
  • Agile software development experience utilizing the Atlassian Tool Suite.
  • Experience with complex satellite ground systems, particularly command and control functionality.
  • Systems, Test, and/or Software Engineering experience on a large government software development contract.
