Job Summary: The Sr. Linux - System Design Engineer exercises good judgment and is responsible for working independently with minimal instruction whilst making sound decisions to resolve moderately complex system design challenges. This role works on non-routine assignments and resolves moderately complex issues that impact one's own area. The Senior System Design Engineer designs, develops, and tests moderately complex systems and features, contributing to technical discussions and documentation. This role may provide guidance to junior engineers on specific tasks and projects. Note: This role may come into contact with confidential or sensitive customer information requiring special treatment in accordance with Red Hat policies and applicable privacy laws. Overview Designs, develops, and tests moderately complex system features and components with minimal supervision. Leads the technical design and implementation of small to medium-sized projects. Participates in code reviews and provides constructive feedback. Creates and maintains comprehensive technical documentation for assigned projects. Troubleshoots and resolves moderately complex technical issues, escalating complex problems as needed. Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Proactively identifies areas for improvement in system design and development processes.
