About The Position

The Senior Systems Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing, designing, maintaining, and supporting systems and applications within a regulated industry environment. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The role involves working with both legacy and new applications, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of directly related experience as a Senior Systems Analyst.
  • Knowledge of database structures and management systems, with a preference for experience in large, regulated industry environments.
  • Past programming experience with .Net and SQL.
  • Understanding of Oracle and SQL database structures.
  • Desire and enthusiasm to learn new applications and technologies.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to develop ideas to improve IT processes.
  • Flexible team player with demonstrated ability to work professionally with clients and peers.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-intensity situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in large regulated systems within the utilities or finance industries.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing systems and business processes to identify requirements and design solutions.
  • Write, test, and debug programs to ensure they meet specifications and are functional.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, and IT teams to understand needs and explain technical concepts.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and system design documents.
  • Identify and resolve issues within systems and applications.
  • Implement and support vendor and in-house developed systems.
  • Maintain existing applications across various business units.
